After only 15 days of hosteling, I had enough of the shared accommodation and checked in a hotel, spoilt much? Maybe. But how glad I was that I had fresh towels, heating and NO bunk beds! People are very &#8220;Bohemian&#8221;, there is a coffee culture to it and amazing hidden places with incredible pastries. Yes I indulged a piece of cake a day for 4 days. A sugar detox we can call it haha. So what to do in this compact windy town?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4471.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4471.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4471.png 800w, https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4471-480x319.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Te Papa is the city&#8217;s &#8216;must-see&#8217; attraction, and for reasons well beyond the fact that it&#8217;s NZ&#8217;s national museum. It&#8217;s highly interactive, fun, and full of surprises. Aptly, \u2018Te Papa Tongarewa\u2019 loosely translates as \u2018treasure box\u2019. The riches inside include an amazing collection of Maori artefacts and the museum\u2019s own colourful\u00a0<em>marae;<\/em>\u00a0natural history and environment exhibitions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4473.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2651\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4473.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4473.png 800w, https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IMG_4473-480x320.png 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 13px;\"><span style=\"line-height: 13px;\"><strong>Botanic Gardens&#8230;<\/strong>\u00a0The hilly, 25-hectare botanic gardens can be\u00a0<em>almost<\/em>\u00a0effortlessly visited via a cable-car ride (nice bit of planning, eh?). It&#8217;s a 30-minute trip to Days Bay, where there are beaches, a fine park and a boatshed offering canoes and rowboats for hire. I don&#8217;t want to be rude, but this was the worst musical I ever encountered. It was cheap, boring and very poorly made. \u00a0If your wondering why the C musical? Because it was a Cancer Musical!
