It\u2019s a great way to show support and an awesome excuse to get dressed in pink \ud83d\ude09 With running or just walking that day we gave hope to those who are fighting this very common disease.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami3.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-422\" title=\"Europa Donna in Maribor\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"406\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami3.png 800w, https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami3-600x381.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Many of you know that my mother was one of the brave women who fought this courageous battle. I can\u2019t even describe how proud I am of her, not only did she win this battle but she changed as a woman, mother and a lover too. She accepted the disease as a gift and a lesson which was a pretext to test her strength.\u00a0 Of course it was not easy, but being a strong woman, backed up by her faith and trust in the Universe, she endured the shock with dignity and bravery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-424\" title=\"Family Poljani\u010d, Drna\u010d and Po\u017ear\" src=\"https:\/\/www.teresamisu.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami.png 800w, https:\/\/www.terezaschoice.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/mami-600x389.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Breast cancer is not just a disease that strikes at women physically. It strikes at the very heart of who they are as women: how others perceive them, how they perceive themselves, how they live, work and raise their families. I feel so fortunate and grateful to be the daughter of a winner of this battle, which served to teach us something. It changed us as a family; it showed the true meaning of our time together. The secret is hidden here in the present; we started to pay attention to the present and improved upon it. We forgot about the future and started to live each day according to ourselves and our beliefs in the Universe, confident that we are blessed not to be stressed about things that are yet to come.<\/p>\n<p>Its funny how we worry about losing what we have, either it\u2019s our life possessions or our property. Soon this fear evaporates when you are faced with a life experience like this one.
