Raw Chocolate Cake Pops


Playing with my heart I wanted to make some hearty raw chocolate cake pops for a baby shower, so I thought I would play around a little bit in the kitchen. Like literally. Bite-sized cake pops are the perfect sweet treat for baby showers. The dainty confections have become such a popular element of dessert tables, that there’s inspiration for every style of shower, no matter the theme or mood. How do you like these healthy treats for the mom-to-be?


  • 1 cup almond flour (blended raw almonds)
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup flaxseed flour (blended flaxseeds)
  • 1/2 cup dates (soaked in water for 30 min)
  • 3 tblsp cacao powder
  • 2 tblsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of rum (optional)

First make a date paste – blend your soaked dates with a bit of water until you get a smooth paste. Then blend your flaxseeds with coconut and almond flour. Add all the date paste and the rest of the ingredients. When you get a sticky dough, form into balls and freeze while you make your glaze.


  • 1/2 cup cacao butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup maple/rice syrup or honey
  • pinch of salt

Slowly melt your cacao butter and add the rest of the ingredients. Dip your cake pops into the chocolate, decorate with pistachios, coconut, goji berries or chia seeds and leave to cool over night in the fridge.
