This post is dedicated to the gorgeous Buddhist temple I visited. This place just took my breath away, I haven’t seen nothing quite like it. This amazing spot is near Piha beach, which was the birthplace of New Zealand board riding in 1958, and has been the scene of both New Zealand national and international surfing championship competitions (I will be posting about the beach soon).

This temple is totally unknown to New Zealanders as well, I can’t even find it on the internet. Near to the temple there is a meditation lodge. I asked the owner what is the price for one room per week, and she looked and me very confusingly. I guess you can come over and just relax for a bit and give what you can, you don’t see that very often 😉

Here are some shots of the surroundings and the lodge.
