Here is a really yummy orange chocolate raw cake recipe made out of 3 layers.
Base
- 3/4 cup almonds
- 1/4 cup macadamia or Brazilian nuts
- 1/8 teaspoon sea salt
- 6 soft dates, pitted and chopped
- 1/4 cup of carob powder
Make the date paste by blending the dates with a bit of water. Add the rest of the ingredients. Add it in to a cake tin.
Cream 1
- 1/2 cup orange zest
- 2 cups cashews, soaked until soft (4+ hours)
- 1 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1 cup fresh orange juice (approximately 2 oranges, maybe more)
- 2/3 cup raw agave nectar (i didn’t add agave because the oranges were so sweet already)
- pinch of Vanilla
First blend the cashews than add the rest of the ingredients, except the coconut oil! Add it when you have the cream and blend for a few seconds. Add it onto the base.
Cream 2 “Nutella”
- 1/2 cup cashews, soaked until soft (4+ hours)
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts
- 3 tbs of raw chocolate powder
- 1/2 cup of almond/ coconut/ any other milk
- 1 cup coconut oil or cacao butter, melted
- pinch of Vanilla
- 2/3 raw maple syrup
First blend the cashews than add the rest of the ingredients, except the coconut oil! Add it when you have the cream and blend for a few seconds. Add it onto Cream 1.
Refrigerate overnight!
