Back in Auckland, doing Aucklandy fun stuff. As you all know me, I’m a big foodie! And guess what, August in Auckland is Restaurant Month! So my wallet is getting emptier while my belly is getting fuller.
I couldn’t wait for the event to come up called Street Eats at Shed 10. For one day only, chefs from all over Auckland’s city centre left their comfortable kitchens and took their masterpieces to the streets!
Taking place at Shed 10 on Queens Wharf, Street Eats was a family friendly event with our favourite chefs serving up their most beloved street food.
There was about 20 stands with different foods from Mexican to Vietnamese. Amazing! But sadly I wasn’t the only foodie waiting for this delicious event to take place, so the venue was packed with hungry kiwis, which was a bit disappointing. There were crazy long queues and the food of course couldn’t be as fresh and gourmet as I hoped.
All in all with market-style fare from a diverse range of international cuisines, we were very spoilt for choice!
