After several attempts I’ve finally found the perfect waffle base that you can customise for yourself.

Cinnamon apple? Add cinnamon and baked apples.
Strawberry chocolate? Add strawberries and 85 % dark chocolate.
Banana peanut butter? Add banana slices and a little of the crunchy peanut butter.

This simple base is the perfect everyday waffle that you can then dress up as you please. You know, for those fun Friday nights or Sunday mornings.

First mix almond milk with apple cider vinegar (it will turn into vegan buttermilk) and leave aside for at least 5 minutes. Meanwhile mix spelt flour with oats, baking powder, salt, vanilla, coconut sugar and coconut oil. Carefully mix in almond milk. Pour the batter into the waffle maker. When ready serve with berries and coconut yoghurt.

*This batter will be perfect for fluffy pancakes as well, if you don’t have a waffle maker.
